How to change default browser to Microsoft Edge and import bookmarks


Changing default browser.

1. Make sure Edge is running - click the Start Menu and type "edge", then click Microsoft Edge when it appears:

     


2. Next you can pin the Edge icon to the task bar to make sure you can find Microsoft Edge again easily. Right-click the blue Edge icon on the bottom of your screen, and click Pin to taskbar. 

     


     




3. After that you can set Edge as the default browser and copy all bookmarks from Chrome to Edge. Click the ellipsis icon in the top-right corner of the Edge window, then clicking the Settings



4. Select Default Browser from the left hand side menu, and click Make default

         




Importing Bookmarks / Favourites

1. Once you’ve completed the steps above, you may want to IMPORT your bookmarks from Chrome. Open Microsoft Edge.

2. On the upper right corner, click on the FAVORITES icon. Click ellipsis icon and select Import favourites      

   


3. The following pop-up screen will be displayed, click Import

     



4. The following message will be displayed once bookmarks from Google Chrome has been imported 

     



5. You can then go to the Favourites icon and check the bookmarks imported
