Competenz is making use of a New Zealand service called MegaNZ to provide an online upload platform for Learners to submit digital assessments.


Summary

This platform will be available for all Competenz Account Managers to access and review files submitted by Learners. By default the MegaNZ subscription allows 50GB of data storage, but if this solution grows over time with data storage, an unlimited storage limit can be purchased at a cost of approximately $18/month.


When an Account Manager logs into the MegaNZ platform, they will see individual folders for each Account Manager. These folders will be shared individually as Drop Folders, and each Account Manager will have a unique web link to provide to their Learners for upload.


When a Learner uploads a file via the Drop folder link, it will appear within the Account Manager’s folder. The Account Manager can then download the file at their convenience, or create subfolders for each Learner and move the file into that subfolder if they wish.


Account Manager Access

The MegaNZ website will be accessed via a single generic username and password, which will be maintained by ICT. This password will be changed on a regular basis, to ensure security in the event an Account Manager leaves Competenz.


  1. Browse to https://mega.nz


  2. Click the Login link in the top-right corner:


  3. Enter the [email protected] username and the password as supplied. When you click Log In you will be presented with the folder structure of the website:


  4. Click on the folder for your region on the left-hand side and you’ll be presented with the Account Manager’s folders:


  5. Double-click an Account Manager’s folder to access the root level of their Drop Folder – this is where any new files uploaded by Learners will appear:


Learner Access to the Drop Folder

Learners will be provided with the Drop Folder link by each Account Manager. When they browse to it, they are presented with the following interface:



Clicking anywhere on this image will present an upload dialog box:





Single or multiple files can be selected to be uploaded. When files are selected and the Open button is clicked, the Learner will see a progress dialog for the file uploads:





When the uploads are completed, they will show as Complete:





The Learner can then email their Account Manager and notify them of the files that have been uploaded. It’s recommended that Learners add their name to any files that they are uploading for easy reference.



When Account Managers are notified that files have been uploaded, they can choose to download the files, or create folders per Learner and move the files into that folder by dragging and dropping:
