There are two options in adding macrons:
Option 1
1. Click the Search icon from your taskbar and type Run. Select Run from the result.
2. From the pop-up window, type charmap and click OK.
3. This will display the following window, select the macron you're wanting to copy, click Select and Copy
Option 2
1. Type Language Settings in your windows search
2. Once in Language Settings, click on English (New Zealand) and select Options
3. Click Add a keyboard and select Māori. You can now close out this screen.
4. Click the Language bar in the bottom right of the screen near the clock:
5. Select English (New Zealand) - Māori keyboard
6. The language for your keyboard will now be set to the New Zealand English and Māori dictionary.
7. You can also place macrons in your system by pressing the ` button followed by a letter to place a macron (Example: `a will give you ā)
