A Kanban board is a tool created for agile project development and is now available in Microsoft Lists.
The new board view provides an interface that allows you to visualize the various stages of any type of data stored in Microsoft Lists, while at the same time allows you to move them across stages by dragging and dropping items into different buckets.
Here are the steps in creating a board view:
1. With your existing Microsoft Lists open, from the upper-right page of your screen, click dropdown and select Create new view
2. Provide a name for the view. In the Show as selection, select Board. In the Organize board by, choose the choice column that you would like to use to organize your board. Each option available in this column will be a bucket in your new board view. Click Create to create your new view.
3. Kanban board view will be created.
NOTE: A board view is available to any list where a choice column with a single selection is available. If your list does not fulfil this requirement, you will be able to create a new column to organize your items while creating the board view. See below for sample choice column:
4. Once the board view is created, you should be able to create new buckets, directly from the view interface, which will add a new option to the choice column you have selected or create for the board view.
