The new Microsoft Teams changed the default layout of the Teams channel you are part of to a grid layout.
To change the layout to a List view, click the three dots from the upper-right side of Teams and select Settings
Under Appearance and accessibility > Layout, change from Grid to List.
This will change your Teams channel layout to a List view
