By default, Microsoft Teams is set to deliver calls to your Microsoft Teams account and send to voicemail if you do not answer. This may not be the setting you would like and you can choose to adjust how you want Teams to handle your incoming calls by adjusting your call answering settings.
Note: This only applies if you have Dial Pad configured in Microsoft Teams. If you don't have Dial Pad configured, you can only forward to Voicemail

To access these settings, from the upper-right corner of Teams, click on > Settings > Calls > Call answering rules
How to forward all Teams Calls to my mobile
To setup forwarding all calls to your mobile for the first time, under Call answering rules, choose Forward my calls, and then select “new number or contact”. This will prompt you to enter in your mobile phone number. Once entered it will forward all Teams calls to your mobile.
- Select Forward my calls
- From the drop down menu next to Forward to, Select ‘new number or contact’
- Enter in your mobile phone number into the search box and once complete, select your phone number.
- Once selected, the system will configure the phone number to the right dial plan and all your Teams calls will be forwarded to your mobile.
After you have entered in your mobile phone number once, it will now appear as an option to select from in your call settings moving forwards.
How to forward Teams Calls to your mobile, after trying your Teams Account first
There may be the scenario where you may want to have your Teams calls delivered to your Teams account first, and then if unanswered, forwarded onto your mobile. To configure this, under Call Answering Rules, select Calls Ring Me, and next to the If Unanswered section, select “new number or contact” or select your mobile phone number from the drop down list if it is shown.
- Select Calls ring me
- From the drop down menu next to If Unanswered, Select ‘new number or contact’
- Enter in your mobile phone number into the search box and once complete, select your phone number.
- Once selected, the system will configure the phone number to the right dial plan and will only send your Teams calls to your mobile, if you have not answered the call on your Teams account.
