How to re-add your Competenz email to the OUTLOOK App on Android phones


As Microsoft has made changes on their security protocols, we urge everyone to use the OUTLOOK app to open and manage their emails on their phones. 


DELETING THE ACCOUNT


These steps are important as you’ll be prompted with an error that the account is already added on the phone. NOTE: This will not delete your emails from the server side.


  1. Open the OUTLOOK appon your phone.


  2. Tap the Menu More button then  Settings Settings 


  3. Tap on your COMPETENZ email account under “Email Accounts”


  4. Scroll down and select “Delete Account”




RE-ADDING THE ACCOUNT


  1. While still on the OUTLOOK app, go back to the Menu More button then  Settings Settings 


  2. Under the email accounts, tap on the “+ Add Email Account” then select “Office365”



  1. When asked to “Enter your email” type your <Username>@local.competenz.org.nz e.g. [email protected]


  2. Type your Competenz password when prompted.



  1. You can then just select this account under the “Email Accounts” to browse to your Inbox.
