Issue:

Some users are unable to link and save emails to SmartTMS from Outlook. The following error message is displayed when linking the email:



This happens when the body of the email being linked may contain special characters.


Workaround:

1. Open the email you are linking to SmartTMS, copy the whole email content and paste to Notepad.


2. Save the file, ensure the encoding is set to ANSI.

       


3. Copy again the text from Notepad and replace the email from Outlook and resend to yourself. This replaces the content of the email to plain text and should allow linking of the email. The error message might still pop-up but it will allow the saving/linking of the email to TMS.
