Here is your guide for the new features and current limitations/known issues if you are using the new Microsoft Outlook.


NOTE: Please do not switch to the new Microsoft Outlook version if you're using SmartTMS to link emails. Currently, there are compatibility issues with Pivotal Integration with the new version. Continue using the classic Microsoft Outlook version instead.



New features


Pin emails

Hover over an email and click the Pin icon.


Or right-click any message and choose Pin and that will email will appear at the top of your inbox, saving you time from having to go back and search it.

Snooze emails

With the Snooze feature, you can schedule a time for the email to be re-delivered to your inbox, so you can handle it when it's the right time for you. Right-click any message and choose Snooze. Then choose the time you want it to be delivered.





Schedule when to send email

With the new Outlook, you can send an email when you want to. Just select the dropdown arrow next to Send and choose Schedule send



Select the date/time to send your email and click Send 




Categories


You may be familiar with categories, but they've been significantly upgraded. You can now see the names and colors directly on your messages in your inbox. 


a. Right-click Favorites in the folder pane and select Add favorite 



          


b. Search for what you want by name and then select it, or you can choose an item from the suggested list.

   

          

      


         By default, when you add a favorite, it's added to the bottom of the list. To rearrange the order, drag and drop the name.


       





Known Issues/Limitations


1. If you're using SmartTMS, Pivotal Integration link is currently not working with the new version. We recommend to continue using the classic Microsoft Outlook instead.



2. Unable to send a copy of file within Microsoft 365 applications(Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)


    If you try to use the following function, for this example, Microsoft Word, either clicking the Share in Outlook or Send a copy 


       



      will prompt Outlook to display the following message.


       



       However, if you drag the file to the open email window instead, it will give you the following options and allow to attach the document to the email.


         




Switch back from new version of Microsoft Outlook to classic Microsoft Outlook


From the upper-right corner, toggle the button to switch back to the class Microsoft Outlook. This will restart Outlook.
